At Celebrate Australia, we strive to re-ignite Australia Day as a day of unity and pride. We believe that January 26 should be a time for all Australians to come together and celebrate our shared heritage.

Is this a political movement?
No. Celebrate Australia is explicitly non-partisan and does not support or oppose any political party, candidate, or policy.
Are councils or businesses involved?
No. This is a citizen-led initiative. Participation is voluntary and community-based.
Will there be protests, marches, or speeches?
No. There will be no chanting, megaphones, or demonstrations. This is a calm, family-friendly presence in public spaces.
Is this movement dismissive of history? No. Celebrate Australia recognises Australia’s full history. We reject the idea that celebrating our country and acknowledging the past cannot coexist.
Is this a response to “Change the Date” activism?
Celebrate Australia is focused on celebration, not opposition. We are not campaigning against anyone, we are encouraging Australians who want to celebrate to feel confident doing so.
